Some of today’s hottest lesbian authors provide seductive surprises and hot newcomers play out sexy scenarios in this collection of short stories, steamy enough to satisfy your deepest butch/femme desires. This compelling collection of butch/femme sense and sensuality takes readers on a fantasy journey - on the road, in the pool, against the wall and wherever else you long to go.
Whether you dream of long-legged soccer stars, the girl next door, your favorite bartender, a sultry tango dancer or a traffic cop who’s packing more than handcuffs, you’ll find her waiting for you inside the pages.
The first thought of reading short stories of butch/femme characters wasn’t exactly appealing. Although I realize there are lesbians to adhere to these two labels in our community, I do not, mostly because I really don’t fit into either of the categories completely. With this said, I admit that Back to Basics had a profound effect on me (and not because of the erotica). It provided a more in-depth look into the personas of butch and femme lesbians. I emerged from the pages a little wiser finally discovering that there’s more to butches and femmes than wearing men’s clothes and wearing lipstick and heels.

Brett Higgins is back in the seventh installment of this popular mystery series. This time, Brett and her girlfriend, Allie, are once again caught in the middle of murder and intrigue. When Allie’s former partner pulls a gun at a local nightclub, Brett is forced to intervene. Once separated, the cause of the fight is obvious - her former partner is living with Lauren - and Jill wants her back.
Nothing like a little dyke drama.
When the bullets in the dead body found the next morning match Allie’s ex-partner’s gun, Allie sends Brett to solve the murder. And Brett will have to use all of her charm to gain information.
“...’Bitch!’ a woman screamed. Brett didn’t think, she reacted. In just the flash she’d seen, she knew what the brunette had pulled, and she flew, taking the most direct route, leaping up and running across tabletops to the dance floor. Pushing aside several women who were just realizing what was happening, Brett grabbed the brunette’s arm, her gun arm, and pushed it up ...”
